Open Order Cancellation Management
 
Overview
This Feature allows you to manage the cancellation of open orders with predefined reason codes for further analysis. In addition, this function will record the User Details who cancelled the Order, allowing you to further analyse lost Orders and view the opportunity cost to the business.
 
Process
This function is a 3-step process:

 
1. Create a Cancellation Reason Code (New Feature Introduced In Version 10).
2. ‘Remove’ document functionality on Sales Orders & Sales Quotes.
3. Run and view the Cancelled Sales Documents Report.
 
1. Cancellation Code Setup.
Go to the Control Panel, Reason Codes and then select the ‘Cancellation’ tab.

 
This screen will present all of the existing predefined cancellation reason codes.
 
1. To create a new one, simply select new and input a Code and a description, then select OK.
 
 
 
2. Remove Document Functionality on Sales Orders & Quotes.
Open a previously processed Sales Order or Quote that you want to cancel\Remove.

 
1. To cancel the document, select the ‘Remove’ icon at the top of the screen.
 
 
2. You will then be prompted with the below message that informs you that Order will be cancelled and that the user ID will be logged.
 
 
 
 
3. When you select ‘Yes’ you will then be required to input the appropriate Cancellation Code.
 
 
3. View The Cancelled Sales Documents Report.

Go to the Accounts Receivable module, then to Receivables Reports and select the Cancelled Sales Documents Report.
 
1. Once you run the report, it will present the below information.
